I was supposed to meet someone at Stone’s Richmond brewery today, but I got stood up at the last minute. Well, I’m already here, so I guess I’m drinking with myself. Again.
At least the beer, view, and weather are good.

I already have beer, but can I borrow some of your view and weather?

I’ll have to remember this place for when I have to travel to Richmond for work again.

Sure. It’s quite a bit cooler than yesterday but still nice.

Very true. Once i’m good to drive I’m going to take a few more car photos.

It’s nice. Right at the edge of downtown, near some parks. There are a good 20 breweries in the metro Richmond area.

I haven’t checked out Stone yet, how is it? Also, the Brunswick Stew and Stout fest is this Saturday in the Farmer’s Market, Hardywood is releasing the all-holy Gingerbread Stout, and Triple Crossing is releasing Nectar and Knife the same day.

At least when your drinking alone, your guaranteed to enjoy the company.

Is that an old gas holder frame back there?
We’ve an old Victorian one that was taken out of use about 20 years ago (with the frame still there) but across the road is a modern one still in use.

Stone is cool. Pretty quiet area, but usually busy. About 20 others there when I was there. I’m more or less tapped out now, so no festival for me.

Probably. It’s on the site of an old ironworks.

It gets a bit stagnant after awhile.

I suppose and conversations are best left as inner monologue (unless your wearing a Bluetooth headset)

They are quite beautiful, they are both strong in strength and fragile in appearance.

Indeed. I’ll have to look for some more in the area. Richmond has quite a few disused/repurposed factories, so it’s possible there are more around.

I find as I get older I get more and more interested in history and find so much more in daily life around me that I’d not noticed till now.
Which living in a city over 2,000 years old is a lot.

I can imagine. I live close to some of the oldest settlements in the US, but even Jamestown is only a little over 400 years old.

I’d love to visit but PA would have to be my first stop. Especially the city named after mine.
